Batik Day

Today was National Batik Day. I tried to get creative with my mom's batik top.

Ate at La Porchetta. The taste is helplessly Italian..which is bad for my Asian tongue.

Some books to keep me entertained in couple days to come.

I think all restaurants which sell pasta should provide dried chillis.

A long weekend..

..which was long coz i stayed up late for 3 days in a row.

First day, Fri nite I went to GI with Citra, browsed some stuff I could buy with my MAP voucher :p Loved a sequin blazer at Pull and Bear but not too sure about it, then we jumped to Senci, did a gossip session at a cafe while other people did their midnite shopping.

The next day I kept on thinking about that blazer, so being an obsessive shopper I went back and purchased it :D And on the afternoon I went eating with friends at Kelapa Gading, continued with hang out at Mall of Indonesia (MOI) till 2 AM.

We always do seafood at Kelapa Gading. Here's Asep the bday boy blew his candles surrounded with us, pretty gals :p

On Sunday, again I went back to GI with my bf and ate some good stuff; Sour Sally Large Green Tea with Mochi, Peach and Strawberry topping. Chicken Master's really great in doing chicken, I love their steamed chicken, and also their salted egg shrimp!The day was ended with a nice Starbucks Signature Ice Chocolate Venti. Watched The Hangover, it was hillarious.
Worn my new shoes for the 1st time..love it. Benji was home btw.

Amazed by Brightspot in Grand Indonesia, Sept 10th-13th ago. The caption under the name already explain what it stood for; 'a 4 days market of all things cool.'

Literally cool stuff which would fits an 'AGJ' (Anak Gaul Jakarte!) are all here, starting from alternative fashion choices ('indie' new designers), bicycle stuff, aksara bookstore, and other cool things you could think about.

The main dish here must be the rising young designers, some of them starred in Bazaar Indonesia Aug article in 'Bright Young Things' section.
Young designer brands such as Nikicio (Ps. LOVE LOVE Nikicio kitten motif), KLE, Majic, and stores which sells their stuff such as Happy-Go-Lucky were there. Some are Online shops that are already famous among their society such as Petite Cupcakes and Cotton.ink. The 'it' fashion items such as Melissa shoes, which still rare in Indonesia also had their booth here.
Young, rich and stylish are the designers, and also the buyers.

Ayyway I enjoyed the atmosphere, which for me was like an upscale Chatuchak market. The stuff was a bit pricey, but maybe that was the price of originality and creativity. Whoever the conceptor, they're great.

This shoes is miraculously mine!

I went to ZARA Senci last week with my friends and I really liked the shoes, but I didn't get my size. They only have 38 and 40, no 39. The 38 was too fit, 40 was too loose. And since this one is quite expensive (for me) so I didn't want to buy it in un-appropriate size.

So. I've been searching to some malls, but the shoes weren't even in other ZARAs I visited. Then last Friday, after had a meeting at PS, I had my eye on a bag. But the bag on the window display was the only one left and they couldn't get it out until next month. Based on my curiosity, I crossed to Senci with an intention to see the bag, and luckily they were still open (it was around 9.30PM) and they got the bag. After I got the bag, I re-checked the shoe shelf again, you know, in case. And I only saw the 38 and 40, just like last week.
But wait, what is that, a pair of my dream shoe fell from the shelf. Could it be... and yes, it was 39, my size!! Here's what I call soulmate!
And I ended bought a pair of bag and shoes. Consider it a gift for my self.


I also have smoothen my hair and got a black dress from Body & Soul last week. So this gift is more like a package, ha-ha (a self justification for an over spending).

bright days like this

Couple days ago I went to a company event, and met an old acquaintance (whom I respect very much). And he was very welcome to chat, and we talked about lots of interesting things.
Really made your day, meeting someone with such positive energy and welcoming gesture. I also got acquainted with a new person who sat in the same table. She was also very cheerful and amicable. I thanked both of them for being such nice person. Experienced being in a group full of snob people, their negativity really affected me til days after, made me asked what was wrong about me while it was all about them and their bad behaviour.

Anyway, other thing which made my day, the legging I ordered via inet came, and it was as good as what I imagined, and it was a bargain! My best stuff usually are the bargain one, if it's already jodoh/soulmate, I believe you can get the best stuff with the best deal, as long as you're patient enuf to search for the one. Haha it really is like looking for a soulmate!

I really want to get another pair with different motif, but I stopped myself thinking I won't use this very much anyway.



Paired it with the dress I bought in Bangkok, Obi and Brooch bought separately in some random occassions.
Hope to have more bright days like that day, as bright as my flower brooch!

Is animal ears officially a trend? I love the bunny one! If only I can find occasions where I don't look like an idiot wearing this.

the acid effect

Ive been eyeing this acid leggings from cottonink. I LOVE the acid wash effect, esp on black; the cool orange effect looks like fire. But I know that I won't have too much chance wearing it. Even my basic legging is not used that often. And the acid wash shawl I liked very much also haven't worn more than once!



I really should be careful in wearing this shawl. If I don't get it right, it can easily looks like a mop cloth. Look below pic for example..I got mocked by my friends of wearing kain pel. Anyway the jelly ice from Muara Karang was sooo damn gooood, even for me who's usually don't like such thing.


So, still think the acid wash stuff is great..just be wiser in using it! :D
